Three ways to combat fear!

Overcoming Fear | MagazineFalse Evidence Appearing Real! Fear is detrimental to an entrepreneur. As entrepreneurs, we have already broken through one stage of fear by starting our own businesses, BUT we still need ultimate courage to continue to make the positive impact on the world. Below are three great ways to combat fear, if you find it creeping into your life.

  1. Fear is a negative spirit and we have the power living inside of us to get rid of that negative spirit. If you find that fear is bubbling up inside of you, command fear to leave! Say firmly out loud, “In the NAME OF JESUS, I command fear to leave, NOW!”. Continue to say this until you feel fear leave you. It will work!
  2. Write down things that you find fearful. When you sit down and acknowledge what you are truly fearful of, you can begin to work through those things. Once you have your list of things that you’re afraid of, evaluate that list. Are those fears real or are they figments of your imagination? Have you already conquered one of those fears on your list, and you don’t realize it? When you can see what you “believe” you’re afraid of, you can create strategies to conquer that fear.
  3. Find a courage partner! Find someone that understands you and can help push you to step out of your comfort zone and face your fears. This person can be a spouse, family member, friend, or life coach (I’m great at helping people conquer their fears!). Make sure this person has conquered their fears and understands the importance of staying positive. It’s great to have someone that can encourage you and help you grow and face any fears.

God did not give us a spirit of fear, but power and love AND a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). So, when fear arises, remember that you DON’T have to accept it! Try one or all three of the ways above to combat that spirit of fear and live the courageous life you were meant to live!!
