Good things don’t happen without work

Ask most people what the ultimate goal of what they are doing is, what they would most like to have or enjoy in life, and many will talk at great length how good it would be not to have to work. Retirement, early if you are lucky, is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. A surprising number of aspiring entrepreneurs, for example, are driven by a mistaken idea that they won’t have to work. Escaping the rat race and no longer having your hours of work dictated by other parties is one thing; not having to work completely another. So let’s just cut to the chase here and be honest – you really want to transform your life? Get ready to work harder than you have ever worked before, both on what you do for a living, and on yourself as well.

Whether your transformation is connected with your wellbeing, fitness, career, finances, family/personal life or all of the above, the only thing that guarantees any of your efforts will succeed is work. Hard work. Sorry if it’s not what you want to hear, but none of the techniques described within this series will do this for you. They are not magical solutions for overnight miracles. But with enough work on them, you will be able to achieve the transformation you desire.

Be reasonable too. Some people have a seemingly inexhaustible supply of energy and motivation that allows them to go all-in on everything all at once. Most don’t. Using cheats such as caffeine or supplements is not a great approach, as you’ll likely postpone the inevitable and at some point, the crash will come. That said, careful use of the right, natural substances as part of a carefully planned diet and lifestyle strategy can help to boost you in a healthy and sustainable way, but I’d advise you study this area in-depth first.

Whatever it is you want your new life to look like, there will be a substantial amount of work required – physical and emotional –  to get there. If retiring before you’re forty is part of that equation, then expect your time to be pretty limited until then! Whatever the goal, big or small, the combination of the right techniques and targeted hard work is the only strategy. There will be blood, sweat and tears, There will, however, also be rewards.
