4 easy ways to improve the energy in your home

Everyone has psychic abilities that we are all born with. However, over time, most people decide to suppress these abilities and stop listening to their gut feelings. There are many signs that people are able to pick up on things psychically on a regular basis – things that happen that we are just told are coincidences.

For example; Have you ever picked up your phone just before it goes off? Have you thought about someone that you’ve not seen in a long time, and the next day you see them?

These are all occasions where you are picking up in the changes in energy and vibrations around you – using your own psychic abilities.

We all spend a significant portion of our lives at home. Our homes see a huge range of emotions, feelings and events, whether that is negative or positive. It is believed that buildings can actually soak up all of these different emotions, similar to a sponge, and they can omit this energy for years afterwards even if the building has new occupants. When this energy surrounds the home, it can really impact how we are feeling.

Negative energy in a home can make you feel unwell, fatigued, depressed and have a real lack of motivation. If you are feeling as if your home needs a bit of upliftment, I have put together some easy ways to improve the overall feeling in your home, as well as adding some protection for yourself and your family.

1) Set your intention

This is an important step, and should definitely be done before carrying out anything else. To remove any negative energy from a space, you first need to set your intention. You need to let the universe, the divine world, angels and spirits (whichever you believe in is fine) know what you intend to do with the space. In this instance, we want to improve the energy in our home so you would put into your thoughts something like:

“My intention today is to clear any negative energy that is impacting on my home, and bring in uplifting and positive energy. Please help me with this.”

2) Invest in a Himalayan Salt Lamp

Himalayan salt lamps have become increasingly popular over recent years. They are a common home decor item, but have you ever read up on the benefits that these can have on the atmosphere in your home? Benefits include; improved air quality, boosted mood, aids sleep, destresses you and most importantly, can significantly help to improve the energy in your home.

3) Introduce Crystals

Crystals are fantastic at helping to change the atmosphere and energy around us. Simply place these in areas of your home that you feel need a change in vibration. Each type of crystal is used in different ways, to achieve a range of different goals.

There are more holistic shops appearing all over the country than ever before, with the majority of them stocking a huge range of crystals at very affordable prices.

They are also readily available to buy online.

Here’s some of the best crystals to use for clearing negative energy:

  • Black Tourmaline
  • Clear Quartz
  • Smoky Quartz
  • Amethyst
  • Tiger’s Eye

4) Burning and smudging

Burning incense is a great way to clear energy in a home. My personal preference for doing so is the Palo Santo scent. Palo Santo is a type of fragrant wood, that is commonly used to smudge spaces. I would recommend using incense instead, however, as it is easy to use and great for beginners. Many spiritual and holistic practitioners smudge sage on regular basis. Bundles of dried sage are readily available in most holistic shops, or online.

You can carry out just one or all of these tips to feel the benefits of a fresh, positive vibration being introduced into your home. To prevent negative energy from building up in your home again, simply follow these steps periodically.
